Yep, That's right. I'm starting a blog. I figured since I have just moved off to college maybe my family and my friends (*Mom) will be curious what's going on in my day to day life.. Well today was the first day of classes. I already had 3 of my classes of the day (2 Dimensional design, Arts retrospective, & Business in Society) and now just waiting to go back for Drawing 1. So far I am absolutely LOVING Southern Utah University. I have found that what everyone said about how friendly everyone is in fact true! I can go sit and talk with anyone and believe it or not they talk back! I also am loving my dorm. I have met quite a few of the other residents and I really like them. Me and Sarah (My roommate) made our rooms so cute and cozy, I feel right at home. I have been going to lots of activities these past few days that have been lots of fun. Yesterday we finally found out where and when church was just in the nick of time, resulting in no shower before church. Atleast I went, right? Later that day Sarah, Lennyx, and I walked around to find our classes, later we went to a fireside, then to President Benson's (President of SUU) house for dessert. What nice guy and such a beautiful house inside and out! Today one of my classes got out early so while I was waiting to get into my other class I had a pretty cool experience. I was talking to my friend E about church and the fireside and I guess the girl that had been sitting next to me over heard us. Later she asked if I was mormon and said that she had been invited to church yesterday so she went. She asked what a fireside was (people seem to think it is bonfire a lot so I don't blame her) and I proceeded to tell her. She asked lots of different questions about the church and it was a really cool experience. There is a fireside again this sunday so I told her to go. Who knows what will happen but it was a pretty cool experience I thought I would share. I have found out quite a few things in the last few days that I thought I might share also. (One day of class and I'm already learning lots!)
1. If you sleep on a diagonal your toes don't hang of the edge of the bed.
2. Don't wear white shorts to a tie dye party. (Thank goodness for bleach)
3. If your Mom snores at night... You probably do too.
4. Wallmart is cool and not so scary in Cedar City.\
(more will sure to be added to my "What I Learned At College" list)
Hopefully I keep up with this blog so you all can hear what's going on..
Au revoir!
I posted a comment a few days ago, but it disappeared... I hope you're not trying to send me some not so subtle hint... Anyway, Yay for your blog!! I look forward to stalking it! ;)
